The workers at ES Crochet are dedicated to helping planet earth have a greener and more sustainable future. This is why they made recycled packaging and use only materials that are good for our planet. Their materials they use are all healthy for earth and eco friendly.

LunarobyLexi another small business has helped ES Crochet by suggesting they use paper bags and for larger objects use decompossable stuffing. There are also many eco friendly packaging go to ideas for our products.

Plastic bags have been a staple in impacting the environment. A large percentage of businesses use plastic bags which end up polluting the environment. An eco-friendly alternative is organic fabrics for reusable bags. There are a bunch of different organic fabrics on the market now including hemp, organic or recycled cotton, tapioca, palm leaves, and many more. All of these materials even if throw out can biodegrade in around 100 days compared to the 10,000 years it takes for a plastic bag to biodegrade. There are also many other uses for these fabrics besides bags if you can get creative.

While biodegradable products can mean any material breaking down in any environment, it doesn’t necessarily mean it is GOOD for the environment. This is due to possible toxins left behind after the product degrades and the creation of microplastics creating a potentially bigger threat to our marine life and our environment.

Compostable products are required to be certified. This ensures they break down within a certain timeframe (albeit only in specific conditions), are made from organic materials and only leave behind beneficial residual products like fertilizer that nourish and improve soil health and feed plants and grass.
